South African Team Selection for World Surfing Games 2025
The selection for the South African Open Surfing Team that will travel to EL Salvador for the I.S.A. World Surfing Games, 5 – 14 September 2025 will be selected as follows:
Surfing South Africa will select the team based on the most current World Surf League Ratings, taken after the Ballito Pro 2025.
At least 1 Transformation male surfer, and at least 1 Transformation female surfer will be included in the team. The team consists of 3 Male and 3 Female Surfer.
SSA selection Hierarchy:
- WSL Championship Tour (C.T.) ratings
- WSL Challenger Series (C.S) ratings
- WSL Africa Qualifying Series (Q.S.) Ratings.
*Please note, the new 25/26 W.S.L. Africa Q.S. seasons starts with the QS 2000 eThekwini Pro 2025 in Durban and SSA will look at the new current Ratings after the Ballito Pro.
