Sea Harvest and Surfing South Africa celebrate a ten year partnership when the 2026 Sea Harvest Cape Crown takes place in Kommetjie.
Just under 100 surfers in the U12 to U18 Divisions will compete in the annual Sea Harvest Cape Crown in Kommetjie from this Friday to Sunday (September 11th – 13th).
Not only will this be the 10th edition of this popular SA Surf Tour (SAST) event but it will also be part of the celebrations marking the ten year partnership between Sea Harvest and Surfing South Africa.
The 2026 Sea Harvest Cape Crown gets under way with an opening function at Fisherman’s Restaurant in Kommetjie on Thursday (September 10th) at 6pm where participants and stakeholders will be welcomed to the event.
Host district Cape Town Surfriders will assist Surfing South Africa present the three day tournament which is supported by Island Tribe and Lifestyle Surf Shop.
The 2026 Sea Harvest Cape Crown is the fifth event of six that makes up this year’s SAST. Every SAST event offers at total of R35000 and this prizemoney is split equally between the finalists in the girls and boys divisions. Every competitor is awarded ratings points which determine the results of the 2026 SAST

Daily venue and competition calls will be based on surf and weather conditions. Friday’s heats commence at midday while heats will run from 7.30am on Saturday and Sunday.
Finals will be held on Sunday.
