In 2024, the team event, the Masters Cup, was claimed by Buffalo City. This year, the districts competing for the title are Cape Town Surfriders (CTS), Cape Winelands Surfriders (CW), Eden Surfriders, Buffalo City Surfriders (BC), Ugu, eThekwini (ESA), and Ilembe Surfriders (ILM). The Dave Fish Award for the most consistent surfer throughout the event went to Mike Burness.

The forecast looks very promising, with strong southerly winds and a solid swell predicted, making perfect, contestable conditions for the classic Trestles-style waves that Long Beach is famous for. Spectators can expect exciting, high-performance surfing and a lively atmosphere throughout the weekend.

A huge thank-you goes out to th event supporting partners and sponsors: the Western Cape Government Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, the City of Cape TownJack Black BeerReef WetsuitsAdvanced Health, and SMTH Shapes, whose continued support makes events like this possible.

We invite everyone to come down, cheer on the competitors, and celebrate the legends and masters of South African surfing, past, present, and future.
