10th Edition
The 10th edition of Tigers Milk Winter Classic surf contest is all set to take place at Surfers Corner, Muizenberg, this weekend in forecasted excellent surf conditions.
The Tigers Milk Winter Classic will get underway on Saturday morning and showcase the skills of many of South Africa’s top Longboarders and Shortboard surfers over the weekend.
The surfing and longboarding Main Event will get underway early on Saturday and end with the Final Rounds on Sunday.
The Tigers Milk Winter Classic, first held in 2015, continues to build on its community-focused approach. It combines competition for both men’s and women’s longboarding. Also, over-40s longboarding, and men’s and women’s shortboarding, along with the Novice Division this year.

Something Special for Friday
As part of the weekend, the Tiger’s Milk Outreach session will be happening on Friday, June 30, and it’s always a highlight.
Young surfers from local community outreach programmes will hit the water for a fun tag-team surf contest. These are organisations that use surfing to inspire and uplift kids from marginalised communities. The energy is always electric.
The format is simple: teams of four, all working together, so everyone is involved and has a part to play. It’s not about the results but more about the fun element. Every kid walks away with a medal, a grin, and some great memories.
Each participant will enjoy refreshments and a meal, followed by a prizegiving, at the Tigers Milk restaurant in Surfers Corner once the competition is completed.
The main surfing and longboarding event kicks off bright and early on Saturday, wrapping up with the final rounds on Sunday.
Prizemoney
There is R37,500 in prize money on offer across the six divisions.
Wave scores and heat results will be published on https://www.liveheats.com/. This is as they are posted by the judges on both days of the competition.
