SA Longboard Team to compete in the ISA World Longboard Surfing Champs in El Salvador from 25 April to 1 May.

The 2024 ISA World Longboard Championships was a massive success, with 156 surfers and SA placing 23/39 countries! The 2025 ISA World Longboard Champs, also hosted by Surf City El Salvador, will see many nations and surfers coming together to challenge for the world championship at a beautiful wave at El Sunzal.

The idyllic points of Surf City, El Salvador, are a dream location for longboarders. The Salvadoran government’s continued support will allow the world’s best to showcase the sport’s unique nature.

The team was selected from the Open Men’s and Open Women’s results at the 2024 SA Longboard Championships in Seal Point, Cape St Francis, last year.

2025 South African Longboard Team

The 2025 SA Longboard Team members are new cap Joshua van Niekerk and Mbuso Zozi, Cara Stubbs and new cap Mary Slijpen (all from Cape Town).
